Biography

I am Mohammad Sanjeed Hasan, a graduate student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida. I also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the same department. I expect to complete my program by the end of this Fall. During my graduate studies, I successfully completed these advanced courses, Fluid Dynamics, Modeling Methods in Mechanical Engineering, Conduction and Radiation Heat Transfer, Multiscale kinetic Modeling, Special Topics in Mechanical Engineering, Intermediate Heat Transfer, Research Methods for Engineers, Computational Heat Transfer, Finite Element Method, Advanced Numerical Analysis, Magneto-Hydrodynamics, Operations Research, Thermodynamics and Statistical Mechanics.

At present, I am looking for a PhD position in Mechanical Engineering or Applied Mathematics with a focus on computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer. Now, I aim to contribute to innovative research by applying my skills, adaptability, and academic potential in these fields. My future goal is to pursue an academic career and advance knowledge to support future industrial innovations.

Earlier, my research focused on the application of the theoretical concepts of fluid flow and heat transfer through rotating and non-rotating curved square ducts in practical contexts. In addition, I worked on two distinct research projects (see Project section) as a Research Associate, which strengthened my ability to collaborate within a research team and enhanced my capacity to absorb and apply new knowledge effectively. Besides, I have published 35 peer-reviewed articles with more than 300 citations (see in the publications section) in some reputed international journals (SCOPUS and ISI indexed). Furthermore, I have attended several international conferences and presented my research work.

Prior to joining ERAU, I completed Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Applied Mathematics and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. (Hon’s)) in Mathematics from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, Gopalganj-8100, Bangladesh. I secured 1st position in B.Sc. (Hon’s) in the Department of Mathematics as well as in the Faculty of Science, BSMRSTU and thereafter awarded the “Dean’s Award” and the “Prime Minister Gold Medal Award” respectively. Furthermore, I obtained 2nd position in M.Sc. from the same department. The Medium of Instruction was English for both B.Sc. and M.Sc. programs. I also passed S.S.C and H.S.C from Bangladesh Navy College, Dhaka and Adamjee Cantonment College, Dhaka, respectively.
